A Fable Story AP

Introduction
Hola, this is a project for my class "Stories." We've been working on for quite some time. In short summary of what you're about to read, we had been spending about two to three weeks reading on fables and how to dissect their lessons, along with similarities between different writers. The majority of the time we were learning how to deliver a moral lesson within a fable story and spent two weeks working on our stories. Below you'll find my own story, and I don't plan on telling you the moral as that is left up to the reader to decide that. Just from my own experience, I already know your guests will be different than the moral I had attempted to deliver, which I still can't decide is part of my fault or not. It was genuinely fun to write this story, and playing around with the meaning was entertaining. Enjoy my writing, fellow reader.
Leo The Lacking

The deep blue is home to many creatures of all sorts, from the big and scary, to the small and loving. Inside the calm waters swam a small goldfish by the name of Leo. Alone he swims, and alone he wishes to remain on his adventure. Thinking to himself as he swam, little Leo began to wonder, “Where in the big sea is there left to wander?”

And so he began, to swim and swim, as fast as his little fins can. Until he was stopped by a formal little crab wearing a top hat, walking along the ocean floor.

“Why so hasty, little one? Do you know what’s up ahead? Have you heard about what all sea creatures here dread?” The crab asked, curious of little Leo. Leo swam with hesitation, circling back to the crab, asking him what lay up ahead.

“Oh, my poor boy, the plants that shock and poke, are no friends to any of us folk. But you see, I know my way around down where all the violent things are, and I’m sure I could ease your travels.” The crab said, tipping his hat.

A quick look at the crab’s sharp claws, and his scary pointy feet, Leo shook his head and swam away to pursue his adventure alone as he wished for it to be. The plants shocked and poked, scratched and stung little Leo as he swam through, hurt and in pain to seemingly no end, all he could do was wail and pretend, that he would’ve been better off without his possible small friend.

Little Leo swam and swam, the deep blue showed Leo it was friends with no man. In pain and without a plan, he continued with no friends to use as a guiding hand. After hours of no sleep, in the scary blue deep, he finally came across a coral reef. There he found an old soul of a turtle by the name of Oogway. Oogway the wise and kind, offered a few words of wisdom to this small little guy. “Up ahead, you’ll find once more nothing but dread. Without a friend, you might just end up dead.” Little Leo shook his head in ignorance at his words, for he knew nothing could’ve been worse than the things that shocked and scratched, stung and poke his poor little skin.

And so Little Leo swam and he swam until the ocean got darker, colder, deeper. The fear was creeping in, maybe he should’ve taken advice instead of being an ignorant little fish. Up his spine, and down his fins, the shiver crawled in. But then out of the deep blue, a pink dolphin swam up to little Leo, with a word or two.“What’s a little fellow like you doing out in the deep? It isn’t safe here, not in the least. Without any help, you might just get eaten and turned into a feast.” Exclaimed the pink dolphin.“Let me come along with, I promise I’m strong and swift!” She proudly admitted with a grin. Her teeth shined sharp and wide, enough for little Leo to swim away, wanting to hide.

And so he swam, alone once again, into the deep blue so cold and dark, until a great white came and opened wide, with no one to help, all little Leo could do was die, if only he had trusted somebody to be at his side.
